As part of the ABC Access fundraiser hosted by "For Kids Only" and A3D, Inc. From the Gulu-Gulu web site: The Gulu-Gulu Café in Salem is hosting a fundraiser to bring the arts into the For Kids Only Afterschool program at Bates Elementary school in Salem. Doors will open at 6:30. The evening opens with the winning talent of Debra Crosby’s Talent Quest TV Show which includes children from the Bates school. At 8PM Mamadou hits the stage. Mamadou's sound is a guitar and drum led West-African pop that includes the rhythms of high-life, juju, rumba, samba, salsa, and reggae blended into authentic Senegalese ethnic rhythms. They are a gathering place for locals and visitors alike to meet, relax, and have fun.
