This summer and autumn have seen us traveling all over New England, while checking in from time to time on the North Shore.  Bridgeport, New Bedford, Peterborough, Newburyport, Worcester, Manchester, for example...  But, we will be performing this coming Friday in our hometown - Salem, MA !!

That's right!  On Friday, December 4th, we'll be joining our little sister, A3D (African Development Through Drum and Dance) to help them raise some funds for much needed desks for the AEDEC school in Dakar, Senegal.  This is a noble cause, and one that YOU can help us to succeed with - all while having a great time and maybe even picking up some gifts for the Holidays.

You see, the fundraiser is called Hope For The Holidays, and it is taking the form of an African Khaware (dance party), complete with drumming, dancing, traditional African music, and of course, MAMADOU.  There will also be included in the ticket price REAL, mouth-watering, tasty African food - and from what we have been told, plenty of it.  There is also a raffle with all kinds of nice, quality items and a silent auction is being finalized as you read this message.  Plus, if you bring a drum, you can join in the fun!

The event starts at 7:30 PM and goes until 11:30 PM.  This year, we have performers representing African cultures from all around the continent.  Here is the Performance Schedule:

7:30 PM - A3D Drumming
8:00 PM - Northshore Bellydance Ensemble - with Amelia, Jahayra, Jesi, Libby, and Xylinia
8:30 PM - A3D Drumming
9:00 PM - African World Fusion - MAMADOU
9:45 PM - African Music - Balla Kouyate (balafon, kora)
10:30 PM - African World Fusion - MAMADOU
