We are proud to be bringing you into the New Year 2007!! Join us at the Hynes Convention Center starting at 9:30 PM on Sunday, December 31st! For more information, see our calendar !
From Boston Globe Calendar, 12/28/06: "Mamadou Diop’s musical career has followed an astonishing trajectory: Born in rural Senegal and raised in Dakar, Diop toured through Europe and Africa before ending up on, of all places, Massachusetts’s North Shore. Not that anyone’s complaining. Diop and his band, Mamadou, play thick, drum-heavy funk that mashes Senegalese rhythms with reggae, salsa, and soul. Never had the pleasure of joining a samba line hours before the new year? When Mamadou takes the stage at the Hynes Convention Center, you’ll have your chance. Performance from 9:30 to 11 p.m. at the Hynes Convention Center, 900 Boylston St., Boston." |
