Absolutely! In fact, we encourage you (the audience) to take home pictures, video and audio recordings, or whatever else you'd like. We see this as an opportunity for you to take a little bit of our live show home with you, and it helps us get more exposure to build a bigger audience. That makes more people come to our shows, so that you can then have more fun with us. If you ever get any photos, audio, or video that you think came out well, we would not mind putting it on our website (of course, we have to review and approve it). Just contact the webmaster, and we'll get in touch with you to get a copy. We will give you full credit for the piece, along with a little commentary about the show. What we do frown upon is if you make copies of our studio recordings. For example, we prefer if you would buy our CDs, rather than make a copy from a friend. |

Our songs have lyrics in several languages including Wolof, French, English, Spanish, Malinke, and others. The songs are often about simple human experiences, peace, love, hope, joy, relations between each other, etc. Most people in our audience do not understand the words, but respond positively to the music. |

Our musical influences vary with the musicians in the band. There are hints of jazz, country, funk, rock, blues, new age, as well as the strong dominance of traditional West African, Cuban, and Carribean rhythms and arrangements. All of our songs have different "feels", varying from reggae to bossanova to merengue to salsa and more. |

This question is always a bit tricky to answer. I would say read the answer to the above question, and add to it the following: Our live music is fun, at times loud, with powerful rhythms that reach into your soul. Each musician performs a separate, offset rhythmic line on their instruments, layered with a healthy portion of vocals (in languages you probably don't understand), lead guitar, rhythm guitar, percussion, and synth. The music makes you move and dance. The rhythms that we perform are actually parts of ancient languages, many that are still used in parts of West Africa. |

Wild distorted images in motion, without the use of narcotics. We sing about love and hope, friendship and family, peace and nature. Our lyrics are in many languages, so the images come from the music, rather than the words. |
