Page 2 of 2 Why should I? People have been responding to our music with overwhelmingly positive messages for many years. We have heard quotes such as "You guys are the best band I've ever heard, and I see a lot of bands" or "You should be performing on the big stages around the world; not just in this area". Though these comments are graciously accepted, they will not get us to where you think we belong, and where we would like to be.
Generally, what it takes to succeed in the music business is a lot of luck, hard work, a marketable product, advertising, a clear demand for that product, connections in the industry are nice, and a lot of luck. Its the same things that lead to any successful business in any field.
We, as a band, are completely responsible for the hard work and marketable product part of that equation. But the rest relies on luck, advertising, demand, and connections.
That's where YOU AND THE FLIER can help. We feel that it is not much to ask of our fans to show their support, as we put in tremendous amounts of time, effort, energy, and money into MAKING OUR MUSIC AND SHOW FOR YOU.
It works like this:
Hanging fliers (a form of advertising) gets more people to know about our shows, and thus increases the number of people who are exposed to our music. If our product is attractive, then we will continue to grow our audience and fan base. That results in more and more people at our shows, and therefore a clear demand for our product. That gives incentive for more and larger venues to open their doors to us, allowing us to get greater exposure. That leads to industry connections, and ultimately better luck. That way we can continue to BRING YOU our best new creations.
In addition to hanging fliers, we would love for you to sincerely sign our guestbook, sign up for our Newsletter (to stay informed about us), and to spread the word about your favorite [we hope] band. Of course, coming to see as many of our shows as you can helps us.
Plus, we would love to see you and talk with you. Chat with us during our breaks. We are friendly people, and speak many languages.
